The Bizkit To Cover The Verve On “Best Of” Compilation

Please God, No!!!!! Say it isn’t so!!!! (insert sobbing sounds here). That’s an accurate description of my reaction when I found out that Fred Durst and his Bizkit buddies were planning to cover one of the greatest pop songs of the last 20 years, The Verve’s “Bittersweet Symphony”, on their forthcoming “greatest hits” compilation. And somehow… sadly… it gets worse. According to Billboard, the Bizkit will “merge” the song with their version of Motley Crue’s “Home Sweet Home”. I mean, covering George Michael is one thing, but The Verve? And then doing a rap & roll mash up with a Motley Crue song. Shame on you Fred Durst! Shame, Shame on you.

And for those of you who think I’m being too harsh (I’m sure there’s some of you out there). Too bad.
