Beck Gives Guero A Makeover

Just in time for the holidays, Beck will be releasing Guerolito, a remixed version of his latest album Guero. Due out sometime in December, the specifics have yet to be confirmed in terms of who is actually remixing the tunes. Names currently being tossed around include Boards Of Canada, Ad-Rock (Beastie Boys), Royksopp, Dust Brothers, Octet, Homelife, 8-bit and Dizzee Rascal.

For Beck, a remix album is much more than just changing up the tunes. In addition to the songs getting a makeover, the original artist, Marcel Dzama, is also overhauling the album cover.

If the previous remixes already done for Guero is any indication of the quality we can expect from Guerolito, it should be mighty good. In fact, Beck has a pretty good track record for his remixes, including work by Aphex Twin, Noel Gallagher and Cornelius.
