Ok kids, there is no need to spaz out about the rumored break-up of the American Analog Set. While a few music-related news sites freaked out earlier this week, claming that the group was calling it quits after their current tour, it turns out that all is well in AmAnSet-land.
The miscommunication stemmed from a press release that was sent around, which mentioned that this is the group’s final tour. Although AmAnSet is no longer going to embark on any extensive tours, and the members are all working on other projects, this does not mark the end of the band.
A statement on the band’s official website reads: “BREAK UP? WHAT? Thanks to everyone who is writing to us with questions and support. We are not breaking up. While doing publicity stuff for our tour, Tag Team Media distributed a news item about our current plans, which you can read HERE. All we wanted to do was clear up the fact that we won’t be able to tour like this again, and things went a little bit sideways.”
Knowing that this is their final coast-to-coast tour extravaganza, make sure you get out and catch this fantastic band while you can.
