Hopewell Returns To NYC This Weekend

NYC’s Hopewell has been crisscrossing North America in support of their latest full-length album, Hopewell & The Birds Of Appetite. While the Dave Fridmann-produced batch of tunes are great on CD, this is also a band that needs to be experienced live. Frontman Jason Russo is back for a couple of homecoming shows in the New York area, including one performance with newly signed labelmates The Lovetones.

Both dates are this week, the first of which is taking place this Friday at Brooklyn’s Southpaw with Maplewood and The Lovetones. The second performance is the very next day at NYC’s Pianos, which also happens to be the venue’s anniversary party with Looker, Lolita Bras, Kreisor and Weird Owl. If you happen to attend Hopewell’s Friday night performance, the fine folks at Pianos will let you into the Saturday evening show for free if you bring your Southpaw ticket. Ain’t that grand?
