Kemado Sign The Sword

Kemado Records, home to some of your favorite bands – Elefant, Diamond Nights, Dungen, The Fever, etc. – has announced the signing of Austin, Texas’, favorite new metal (not nu metal) band, The Sword. Compared to the likes of Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden, this band will kick your ass with the heaviest guitar licks you’ve heard in the past 20 years and a rhythm section so tight that if it were a pair of jeans, even Paris Hilton couldn’t try them on.

The Sword’s self-titled debut album will be released on February 14, but in case you’re dying to hear what these guys are all about, you can check out a couple demo recordings on their website. Or just click here for “Barael’s Blade” and here for “Ebethron”.

Fans in New York and Philly will be glad to know that The Sword has a few tour dates lined up for November. Take a look at those below.

And to avoid any confusion, The Sword and Swords are two different bands. This article is about The Sword.

11.18.05 – Philadelphia, PA (Pontiac Grille)
11.21.05 – New York, NY (Mercury Lounge)
11.22.05 – New York, NY (Lit)
