The Charlatans Finishing Up Simpatico

The Charlatans have nearly completed work on their upcoming full-length, Simpatico. The band recorded the new album at Hook End Manor studios in Oxfordshire with producer Jim Lowe, recently wrapping up three weeks of mixing at London’s Townhouse studios.

Bassist Martin Blunt has been keeping fans up to date on the progress of the new album on their official website. Blunt recently posted: “We shall be reconvening in November to compile the album and to finish off the exclusive tracks for the forthcoming singles. So in December, details on artwork, release dates, plans for a proposed download and for touring in the new year (which we are very, very excited about) should be posted.”

Songs to be featured on Simpatico include “For Your Entertainment”, “N.Y.C. (There’s No Need To Stop)”, “The City Of The Dead”, “For All Others”, “Always A Clue In A Dead Man’s Eye”, “Blackened Blue Eyes” and “The Road To Paradise”.

For all you MySpace nerds, show The Charlatans some love and add them as your friend. The band has been keeping their profile up to date with the latest news about Simpatico, so it is definitely worth checking out. Maybe Tim Burgess will invite you over to his place for a spot of tea. Doubtful, but ya never know.
