Arctic Monkeys Sell Out Two Nights In NYC

A round of applause must go out to the UK’s newest buzz band, the Arctic Monkeys. With no album out in the US, and only a single out in the UK, this band has already managed to sell out two nights in NYC. Originally scheduled to play the Mercury Lounge on November 15 and 16, the second night has been relocated to the Bowery Ballroom. With this kind of momentum already building, 2006 could very well be the year of the Arctic Monkeys.

In case you have already purchased your tickets for the Mercury Lounge show on the 16th, your tickets will be honored at the Bowery Ballroom. According to the Bowery website, this show is already sold out as well. Mighty impressive lads! The band is also scheduled for North American performances in Los Angeles and San Francisco as well.

If you have not heard any of the countless demo MP3s floating around online, you can enjoy a sample of their music by checking out their e-card. It features the video for their single “I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor”, which was released in the UK on October 17th via Domino.
