The Darkness Buy Back Own Album From Online Auction

If you were thinking about pirating the new album from the Darkness, don’t mess with Justin Hawkins. He has a wad of cash, which he will use to bring you down! The singer found a copy of the album for sale on a large online auction site (yeah, that one), for which he paid £350. Yes, in order to prevent their new album One Way Ticket To Hell… And Back from leaking early, Hawkins purchased his own album to get it off the site, as it doesn’t hit stores until November 29.

In an interview on the BBC, Hawkins said: “It’s encoded so we’ll have a name and a number – so we’ll know which disc it is, who distributed it and who they distributed it to. And that person is going to go down. He is either going to get some sort of legal intervention or he certainly won’t receive an album from our record company ever again.”

The moral of this story is that you should never screw around with Justin Hawkins. He has some disposable income and he isn’t afraid to use it!
