Beavis And Butt-Head Get Their DVD On

Its been far too long since the good days of the early ’90s, however thanks to MTV and Paramount pictures those of us with DVD players will now be able to relive some of the very best in pop-culture nostalgia. Tuesday marked the highly anticipated return of the notorious duo, Beavis and Butt-Head. A three-disc installment, entitled Beavis and Butt-Head: The Mike Judge Collection, Volume One, features 40 hand-picked episodes from the creator himself. In addition, the DVD comes complete with 11 music videos, including Pantera, Wilco, and Grim Reaper, as well as Beavis and Butt-Head promos (which happen to include their very hilarious appearance at the VMAs).

The series, which aired between 1993-1997, helped define the very best of a generation and coincidentally was the predecessor for popular cartoons such as South Park and Aqua Teen Hunger Force. The series was also a stepping-stone for creator Mike Judge, director of Office Space and creator of King of the Hill. The 1996 feature film Beavis & Butt-Head Do America even grossed 70 million dollars! The exciting return of the AC/DC wearing, nacho eating, frog-ball playing, non-alcoholic beer drinking, gigantic tire riding team of American idiots has got me so full of emotions I could very well need “TP for me bung hole.” If someone could now only get Viacom to re-release Aeon Flux (the real Aeon Flux), I might be set for life.
