Phase two of Coldplay’s quest for world domination will commence in early 2006, as they return to North America once again to support their latest album X&Y. The exciting part of this tour (yes, there is an exciting part) is the fact that Richard Ashcroft will be opening for Coldplay on a handful of these dates. While Fiona Apple is the supporting artist on all the dates until early March, Mr. Ashcroft will take over as the opener from March 20th until the end of the tour on April 6.
