The Subways Rock The OC, Launch US Mini-Tour

UK rock outfit The Subways are the epitome of my 2006 champion band – they’re hot (literally and figuratively), they rock hard and can make you swoon all in the same breath. I can’t say enough amazing things about this band as they really do stand out of the pack – they’re diverse, they exude pure captivating rock energy, and they have admirable pop sensibilities – they’re perfect for any mood you’re in. The Subways have been rockin’ and rollin’ for a bit, causing a big fuss in the UK, but I can hardly wait ’till they bring their ass kicking rock to the US.

Off to a good start and tapping into the perfect audience of teenage angst – they are performing on The OC tonight, Thursday, November 17, and their first single “Rock & Roll Queen” will be the lead track on the new OC compilation Music from the O.C.: Mix 5, which was released earlier this month.

Their debut album, Young for Eternity, will be release here in the states in February 2006 on Sire/Warner Bros. in conjunction with a full-fledged US Tour. Go see them kick ass and remember who told ya so.

Upcoming Tour Dates:

11.28.05 – Los Angeles, CA (Spaceland)
11.29.05 – Hollywood, CA (Cinespace)
12.01.05 – San Francisco, CA (Popscene)
12.03.05 – Boston, MA (Great Scott)
