New York three piece Nada Surf has spent the majority of 2005 on the road in support of their latest album, The Weight Is A Gift. The Chris Walla-produced album has been lauded with praise by everyone from Entertainment Weekly to Mojo to, uh… me. In fact, it’s on my tentative top 5 of ‘05 list.
Nada Surf will wrap up this year with a performance at KROQ’s Almost Acoustic Christmas on December 11, where they have the special honor of being the only band signed to an indie label on the bill. They’ll follow up that performance with a pair of national TV appearances, joining Craig Ferguson for an episode of the Late Late Show on December 13 and Carson Daly on December 21 for an episode of Last Call.
Nada Surf is wasting no time in getting their ‘06 tours plans firmed up, as they’ve already lined up a substantial North American tour for early next year. Beginning on February 8 in Baltimore, MD, the trek will stretch all the way through March 11 in Toronto, hitting mostly major markets along the way. Check the details below.
