The Cure To Enter Studio In January

Get your big poofy sneakers, cans of Aquanet hairspray and black eyeliner ready, as a new Cure album will be coming out soon. Frontman Robert Smith has been keeping his minions up to speed on the latest Cure news via their official website, where he recently posted an update stating that the band will entering the studio to record their next album in January. If everything stays on track, we could see the album hit stores by the summer of ’06.

Cure fans should be somewhat interested in hearing this particular record, as it will be their first since keyboardist Roger O’Donnell and guitarist Perry Bamonte left the group earlier this year. With former guitarist Porl Thompson back in the Cure, perhaps we’ll hear a return to their ’87-’92 sound. We will have to wait just a few more months to find out.
