KCRW’s Morning Becomes Eclectic Goes Visual

Last year KCRW became one of the first radio stations to embrace podcasting, specifically with their world-famous new music show, Morning Becomes Eclectic. In 2006, they’re at it again. Morning Becomes Eclectic will be the first radio show (that I know of) to VIDEO podcast select programs. The multimedia wave of the future extravaganza will begin today (January 10) with the posting of performances from Kate Earl (originally recorded Sept 27, 2005) and Si Sé (originally recorded June 28, 2005). On January 23, the full will really kick off when KCRW posts the video podcast from UK buzz outfit Arctic Monkeys (originally recorded on November 19, 2005).

The video podcasts will be available via iTunes, AOL Music and KCRW.com. The current MBE podcasts receive upwards of 20,000 downloads per week, so expect to see the video podcast’s stock begin to soar in much the same way. And if you have an extra video iPod, send it my way. I want to play too!
