Kula Shaker Is Back?

Ah hell yeah! This is the news that many Britpop fans will be happy to hear. The mighty band Kula Shaker have reformed, almost seven years after their split. Before you get too excited and start to dust off your “Hey Dude” 7”, the band actually got back together for a secret gig at The Wheatsheaf pub in Leighton Buzzard under the name The Garcons.

All the gang was there sans origional keyboard player Jay Darlington, who is currently working with Oasis. According to NME, the set included three new songs as well as “Govinda”, “Hush” and “a fucked up version of ‘Hey Dude’” according to singer Crispian Mills.

Will this bring a full on reunion of Kula Shaker? Possibly. What we can tell you is that there was an interesting posting on Crispian’s Myspace page stating, “Stay tuned for the unveiling of our project mystérieux, which we are confident will rock your world and wedge your eyes an inch deeper into your head. You’ll be that excited. This project mystérieux will be revealed and discussed, along with a cool new site… very soon.”
