Yeah Yeah Yeahs Admit Kitty Concept Album Was A Hoax

OK, so we should have known better when the Yeah Yeah Yeahs announced that their new album was a concept record about Karen O’s cat. We can all relax, as Coco Beware is NOT proper follow-up to Fever To Tell. Although Coco is a real cat, the feline was not the source of inspiration for the album. Producer Squeak E. Clean (aka Sam Spiegel, brother of Spike Jonze) unleashed this shitburger of a story about the kitty concept album, which we all ate with a grin. I guess these are the type of shenanigans one should expect from Jonze’s sibling.

Fortunately, we now know that Karen O has not lost her mind, with the actual album title being Show Your Bones. According to a press release, the new tunes will be available on March 28 here in the US.

Very little other info is floating around about the release, except that the lead single will be “Gold Lion”. The band also hints of a North American tour in April, which was mentioned in a handwritten note on their official website. With the album just a mere few months away, more news should be zipping through the pipeline soon.
