Hopefully you all remember Eagles Of Death Metal. The band, which features Queens Of The Stone Age principal Josh Homme on drums and his longtime friend Jesse Hughes on guitar, released one hell of a debut album in 2004. Called Peace Love Death Metal, the album was somewhat of an underground sensation, mixing classic rock elements with a garage rock vibe that was all about having a good time. Those of you who spent time rocking out to this party-time masterpiece with your friends will be happy to know that Eagles Of Death Metal will make a triumphant return to retail shelves this spring with the release of Death By Sexy. The new album will hit the streets on April 11 via newly-formed indie label Downtown Records.
The first single will be “I Want You So Hard (Boys Bad News)”. The band just completed a video for the track which features cameos from Jack Black and Dave Grohl, as well as Homme. The premise is that frontman Jesse Hughes is so sexy that he literally blows the clothes off of anyone he comes in contact with… and hilarity ensues. Sounds fun.
