The Changes Ink Deal With Drama Club

After months of wondering who would scoop up The Changes, one of Chicago’s biggest buzz bands, a brand new indie label has stepped up to the plate and signed the quartet. Called Drama Club, the Kansas City, Missouri-based label were happy to find a band like The Changes for their first release. Over the past year, this young quartet has opened for the likes of the Kaiser Chiefs, Stephen Malkmus, The Futureheads and Ted Leo, headlined a sold-out four-night residency at the city’s beloved Schubas and was the ONLY unsigned band invited to perform at 2005’s Lollapalooza.

With a steady amount of great press from two self-released EPs and not one, but two tracks appearing on two Cornerstone Players (we’re fans), the band is set to enter the studio this spring with the hope of releasing their debut full length this fall.

Drams Club was formed by Shannon Schlappi and Matt Morgus. The label is distributed in the US and Canada by the Wheatfield Group via Universal/Fontana.
