The Charlatans UK Return With Simpatico.

British rock veterans The Charlatans UK have just announced the details of their first American release since 2001’s Wonderland. Called Simpatico. (that period is supposed to be there), the new album finds frontman Tim Burgess abandoning the falsetto vocals that helped put the band on the map and even boasts a number of reggae-inspired tunes. To celebrate the release of the new album, the Charlatans UK will be making their way to SXSW to headline the XFM Manchester showcase at Exodus on March 18. They may be playing a party or two here and there as well…

Simpatico. will hit shelves on May 2 via the band’s new label, Sanctuary Records, with a proper US tour in the works for May after the album is released. Those dates have yet to be announced, but we’ll keep you posted.
