Friends Of Dean Martinez To Score Fast Food Nation

Friends Of Dean Martinez have been making amazing instrumental music for over ten years now. While they have cultivated a devoted cult following throughout their decade-long career, their music has never been given an adequate opportunity to reach the masses. That is, until now. Richard Linklater, who is currently working on his film adaptation for the controversial non-fiction book, Fast Food Nation, has asked the group to score the movie. He heard some tracks off their latest album, Lost Horizon, and placed them in a temporary cut of the film. From that, he insisted that the band needed to be hired to create the score.

The film, starring Greg Kinnear, Bruce Willis, Ethan Hawk, Wilmer Valderrama, Patricia Arquette and Catalina Sandino Moreno, will finally give Friends Of Dean Martinez the exposure they deserve. In case you have been living under a rock and don’t know the story of Fast Food Nation, the film’s plot outline on IMDB.com reads: “An ensemble piece examining the health risks involved in the fast food industry and its environmental and social consequences as well.”
