Richard Linklater, who is currently working on his film adaptation for the controversial non-fiction book, Fast Food Nation, has asked the group to score the movie. He heard some tracks off their latest album, Lost Horizon, and placed them in a temporary cut of the film. From that, he insisted that the band needed to be hired to create the score.

The film, starring Greg Kinnear, Bruce Willis, Ethan Hawk, Wilmer Valderrama, Patricia Arquette and Catalina Sandino Moreno, will finally give Friends Of Dean Martinez the exposure they deserve.
