You may remember hearing us singing the praises of Peter Walker after his performance at the Dangerbird Records showcase late last year. That particular show gave us our first taste of his upcoming new album, Young Gravity, which hits stores on April 11. His tunes are a bit rockin’ with a hint of twang, which will totally be a homerun for fans of Rhett Miller, Wilco, etc. His slightly raspy voice and stellar songwriting makes him an artist to look out for in ‘06.
Our buddies in California are in luck, as Mr. Walker has announced a handful of dates opening for Earlimart, La Rocca and a select few extra special shows with Sondre Lerche. The first of these performances takes place tonight in Los Angeles at King King. Earlimart and Peter Walker together on one night promises to be a great time. Your east coast pals are insanely jealous!
