UK darlings Art Brut have just inked a deal with Downtown Records (Eagles Of Death Metal, Gnarls Barkley), giving them a long-awaited US home base from which to launch their takeover the States. Bang Bang Rock & Roll, the band’s forthcoming debut album, was initially released in the UK last year via Fierce Panda/Banana Recordings to a flurry of critical acclaim that stretched all the way “across the pond,” as it ended up on many US Best Of ‘05 lists (as an import).
The US version will be released on May 23 and will feature three US-only bonus tracks – “These Animal Me@nswear,” “Really Bad Weekend,” and “Maternity Ward.”
