So I was hanging out at New York’s Rebel Rebel when I overheard someone come into the cramped store looking for the new album from Phoenix. Little did the guy know that I was not only eavesdropping, but also that their brand new album, It’s Never Been Like That, will come out in May.
The New York Tripwire crew has been lucky enough to have the album for about a week now, and we have to admit that it’s pretty good. Now before you go and get your panties in a wad and start sending us hate mail, just know that you can have your shot at an early listen as well. The band has one new tune called “Long Distance Call” streaming on Myspace. They also have a few dates listed for the USA with Dangerbird’s La Rocca. Check it out!
