The NYC “group” Cassettes Won’t Listen pulled a fast one on us! After claming to be a four-piece band, it has now been revealed that only one person is behind the Nobody’s Moving EP. Producer & multi-instrumentalist Jason Drake wrote, produced and recorded the tracks on his own, under the name of four different “band members.” Alright Jason, you got me this time!
As a co-founder of the Dope Lotus crew, he is also now deep in the world of remixing. He has recently completed remixes for Dr. Octagon and Morcheeba, as well as upcoming work for Midlake and Brookville. The kind folks over at World’s Fair are offering up a free MP3 of his remix for Morcheeba’s “Everybody Loves A Loser” here.
