The Lovely Feathers Spread Their Wings And Tour

Montreal-based indie rock outfit (how many times have you heard that in the past two years?) The Lovely Feathers will release their debut album, Hind Hind Legs, in the US on May 2 via Equator Records. The band played a scorching set at SXSW this year and has been garnering some praise from the likes of The Village Voice and Under The Radar. With two frontmen who play off one another, the band’s live show is supposed to be energetic and flamboyant and impossible not to love. I can’t confirm this of course, as I have yet to witness the Lovely Feathers live show first hand, but that will soon change, as the band has just confirmed a short tour in June with The Spinto Band and Dr. Dog.

I HAVE, however, spent some time with Hind Hind Legs and it’s angular guitars, absurdist lyrics and overall fun vibe have definitely piqued my interest in this young band. Plus, I really like Canada…
