Amy Milan Of Stars Preps For Solo Release

With three albums under her belt as the co-frontperson of Toronto’s lush indie pop outfit Stars, two albums as a member of indie icons Broken Social Scene, and all of the touring obligations that come with those releases, it’s amazing that the lovely and talented Amy Milan had time sleep, bathe, and feed herself, much less write and record an entire album’s worth of solo material. But that’s exactly what she did.

This spring/summer, highly successful Canadian do-it-all label Arts & Crafts will release Honey From The Tombs, the debut solo album from Milan (May 30 in Canada, end of August in the US). The label is currently offering up the song “Skinny Boy” as a free promotional download on their web store.

We’ll keep you posted on this release as more details become available. For now, here’s the cover art. Click it to download “Skinny Boy.”
