Johnny Ramone Tribute To Debut At Tribeca

Coolfer alerted us to the fact that yesterday was a very important day in rock history. Yes, yesterday marked the thirty-year anniversary of a release that changed the rock & roll landscape forever. The Ramones released their debut, self-titled album on April 23, 1976. The timing couldn’t be any more perfect for the premier of the film Too Tough To Die: A Tribute To Johnny Ramone, which documents a truly remarkable musical tribute to Johnny Ramone back in 2004. This concert event included performances by the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Steve Jones, Eddie Vedder, Pete Yorn, Tommy Ramone, Marky Ramone, C-Jay Ramone and many others. The premier takes place at the Tribeca Film Festival in NYC this Wednesday, April 26th at 11pm. The debut screening will be at the Loews Village 7, and will be shown throughout the festival.
