Darker My Love Inks Deal With Dangerbird Records

Havent heard of Darker My Love yet? You soon will because they recently crossed their “t’s” and dotted their “i’s” with indie label Dangerbird Records. The label already has an impressive roster being home to Silversun Pickups, Peter Walker, La Rocca, Sabrosa Purr and Joy Zipper.

Darker My Love features Andy Granelli, a former member of The Distillers, Rob Barbato, Jared Everett and Tim Presley (Nerve Agents). They claim that their band has enough droning guitars and post-punk beats to make fans of My Bloody Valentine, Velvet Underground and Jesus And Mary Chain very happy.

On the new signing, Founder Jeff Castelaz stated, “Darker My Love is the perfect addition to the Dangerbird label. Their music is reckless, beautiful, addictive – an immediate rock and roll experience. We are committed to putting out only a handful of records a year. Quality is another defining characteristic of the Dangerbird brand, and by releasing only three or four records a year, we are able to control the quality.”

Their new album, Darker My Love, will street August 22. If you want to check out some of their tunes, click their Myspace profile below.
