Poptastic indie veterans Apples In Stereo have been tapped to open five dates for The Strokes later this month. To do so, Apples will be taking a few days off from work on their fifth studio LP, New Magnetic Wonder, which is expected to be finished up next month. Having completed a ten-year run with spinART, a spokesperson for the band says that Apples are “finalizing a deal with a well-known independent label to release the album, which is slated for early 2007.” Once things are finalized, we’ll let ya know who this mysterious well-known indie is.
