According to Brooklyn Vegan, the Village Voice has announced their initial lineup of artists performing at this year’s Siren Festival. Once again taking place in Coney Island, NY, on what will most likely end up as the hottest day of the year – July 15, hipsters from all around will swarm to watch music and sunburn together. Ah, the smell of sizzling hipsters in the summer. The first batch of confirmed bands is quite good, with only one that I am less than thrilled about. I’ll let you guess which one that is.
Behold… round one of the Siren Festival bands…. Stars, Tapes ‘N Tapes, The Stills, The Cribs, Celebration and She Wants Revenge. Personally, I am thrilled to see The Cribs again, as they always entertain. Oh yeah, and Wilco, who was rumored to be performing, is definitely NOT on the lineup. More bands will be announced soon, so we’ll keep you posted. Bring on the PBR and funnel cake! Mmmm… soaring hot temperatures, scorching sun, fried sugar-coated treats and beer. I can already taste the vomit…
