Au Revoir Simone To Tour With We Are Scientists


Last week I received an EP from the Brooklyn trio Au Revoir Simone, Verses Of Comfort, Assurance & Salvation. I was immediately won over by their handmade CD sleeve, so I plopped in the disc to give it a listen. Their debut release reminds me of Stereolab at times, with their synthy sound and beautiful female vocals. They call their sound “lo-fi bedroom pop,” which seems to be appropriate. Word about their music has spread rather quickly, getting love from influential radio stations such as KCRW’s Morning Becomes Eclectic.
