Steve Burns Readies Sophomore Album

Remember a few years back when that dude from the children’s television show, Blue’s Clues, had an album come out? Well that dude has a name. It’s Steve Burns, and he is currently working on his sophomore album.

His touring with Flaming Lips in the UK must have paid off because the new LP was co-written with Steven Drozd from the Flaming Lips and Mike Rubin, who worked on the last record. Additionally, he makes an appearance in Wayne Coyne’s new film, Christmas On Mars. Steve’s live shows present something entirely different, including a two-piece with Ryan Smith (A Million Billion, Silent League, remixes for Bloc Party and Public Enemy) and a small TV featuring a puppet drummer.

The new album is slated to come out this fall and is currently label-less. Word on the street is that Steve will have some shows in NYC soon. A&R people, take note!
