NYC-based indie quartet Asobi Seksu (which not coincidentally means “playful sex” in Japanese) will release their sophomore album, Citrus, on May 30 via Friendly Fire Recordings. To celebrate, the beautiful Yuki (keys, vox) and the average-looking James Hanna (guitar, vox), Haji (bass), and Mitch Spivak (drums), will be playing a home town CD release show at Joe’s Pub (425 Lafayette) on June 1.
