When I was a little girl I was a devoted viewer of Pee-Wee’s Playhouse. I loved the word of the day, Chairy, and even sent in some foil to Pee Wee himself for his massive foil ball. (By the way, I am still waiting for my letter from him thanking me. I guess it got lost in the prison system.)
Anyway, I was so happy to see that Pee-Wee Herman and his cast of misfits and crazies are coming back to television via [adult swim]. Cartoon Network has acquired all 45 episodes that ran from 1986-1991, as well as Pee-Wee’s Playhouse Christmas Special.
The shows will air 11pm Monday-Thursday starting July 10. Oh yeah, the Alamo doesn’t have a basement. I should know, I grew up in San Antonio.
