Ricky Gervais is a damn comic genius. From his brilliant writing and acting on the original UK series The Office to his episode of The Simpsons, he always hits a comedic homerun. Last year’s hit show Extras was no exception. Fortunately, Gervais is working on a second season of this hilarious series, with Ricky playing a determined actor trying to catch a break while landing parts in movies as an extra.
The first season featured plenty of great cameos, including appearances by Ben Stiller, Kate Winslet, Samuel L. Jackson and Patrick Stewart. The new season once again brings together Gervais with his comedic counterpart Stephen Merchant, and I couldn’t be any more excited! According to Gigwise, Rock legend David Bowie was a huge fan of the series, which led to his guest spot on a brand new episode. Other celebs on deck for the news series include Sir Ian Mckellen, Orlando Bloom and Daniel Radcliffe.
Season two of Extras will return once again to HBO in North America.
