If you are not familiar with the wackiness known as the Trachtenburg Family Slideshow Players then you will be soon. I became aquainted with them on their last album that had songs about eggs, Long John Silvers, European boys and a trip to Japan. Their live shows are pretty all over the place as you could imagine, with a slideshow running in the background during the whole thing.
The band that is comprised of a mom, dad and daughter, will have their first DVD release on August 1 called Off And On Broadway. The vaudeville-esque group’s DVD will feature performances that were filmed in New York and Seattle. Richard Drutman directed it and word on the street is that there will be a release party and special concert in August in New York City.
