Tourb.us, Never Miss A Good Show Again

I was just turned on to a site called tourb.us today and my first impression is that it has some serious potential. It’s kind of a blending of Pollstar and MySpace, as it pairs a big database of bands, venues, and events with a social networking flair. You can get concert listings for your city, invite friends to shows, get an email or RSS feed every time one of your favorite bands is coming to town and even get updates to iCal (or Google Calendar). It all seems pretty easy to use and once you take the time to enter all of your “favorite bands,” it seems like it will pretty much be on automatic. I did notice that the site doesn’t have listings for all of my favorite Chicago venues (Empty Bottle and Schubas are both not listed), but hopefully the site will grow their venues as time goes on. I believe this is all pretty new. Anyway, have a look for yourself @ tourb.us.
