When I think back to my college radio days, I fondly recall playing far too much from the Archers Of Loaf, Soul Coughing, Sebadoh and Pavement. To this day, “Cut Your Hair” remains one of my all-time favorite songs. Jason Drake, aka Cassettes Won’t Listen, must have been reading my mind when he decided to cover this Pavement classic. In between creating remixes for Morcheeba, Midlake and Dr. Octagon, he recorded this electo-flavored rendition.
