Exclusive: Short Film Inspired By The Knife


Stockholm, Sweden’s The Knife saw their first domestic release (third album overall), Silent Shout, hit store shelves this week via the good folks at Mute. The Bro/sis duo are known for their innovative take on electronic music, compiling surrealistic landscapes of sound that seem like the soundtrack to a wild and fabulous dream (that involves lots of dancing, possibly with forest creatures). Speaking of, the Mute gang was nice enough to give us an exclusive on this creepy short film/EPK inspired by The Knife.

This EPK, entitled When I Found The Knife Again is the creation of young filmmaker Amy Engles. It’s the sequel to the short film When I Found The Knife that won a 2005 worldwide competition by the band to find a budding production star capable of creating an interesting interpretation of the world that surrounds The Knife. That’s what the press release says at least. Check it out below:
