Minneapolis’ favorite blogtastic indie rockers Tapes ‘n Tapes have a billion tour dates lined up to close out 2006. In case you’ve been dead all week, the band’s debut album, The Loon, was just “officially” released via XL Recordings AND they celebrated by performing on Letterman. Woot!
I checked YouTube to see if some diehard fan had posted the performance and well… someone did. They actually taped the Letterman appearance with their camera while sitting at Minneapolis’ Hexagon Bar, being sure to capture some of the loyal beer-swilling patrons in the process. There’s something kind of magical about this video… magical in the sense that if the band saw this they’d say to themselves, “thank GOD I got out of Minneapolis.” Anyway, video and tour dates below.
