Polyphonic Spree Hit The Road

The Polyphonic Spree is going on a two week U.S. tour, including five performances supporting Matisyahu, and three headlining shows. This is The Polyphonic Spree’s first U.S. tour since February 2005.

The Polyphonic Spree spent early 2006 recording their third album, tentatively titled The Fragile Army - no release date has been set since they are no longer on Hollywood Records, but the album is expected to be in stores sometime in 2007. If you want to get a look inside the recording process, check out the band’s studio blog.

Fans that go to the shows will be happy to know that the full band will perform most of the album’s songs for the first time ever, as the record was recorded in separate sessions by each instrumental section of the group. If you can’t make it to one of the concerts, the group is planning on putting out a digital EP sometime in September as well.
