I am currently reading Britpop! Cool Britannia And The Spectacular Demise Of English Rock. Granted, it is a tad dated now (I am currently at the breakup of Bernard Butler and Suede), but it still makes for an interesting read. I highly recommend it.

Along those lines of the Bernard Butler/Brett Anderson “love” affair, not too much has changed on Brett Anderson’s website, sadly. What is rather newsworthy is the re-launch of Drowned In Sound’s podcast. With that will be a 40-minute exclusive show including a Brett Anderson (Suede, The Tears) interview. Anderson will also play some demos and talk about me Britpop. It all happens on Friday, August 11, so be sure and set a reminder for yourself.
