Adem Releases New Video + NYC Performance Announced

Adem is coming back to NYC! The former Fridge member released his debut solo album, Homesongs, back in 2004 via Domino. His folk songs are honest, intelligent little bits of pop, made all the more intriguing with their beautiful and unique musical arrangements. Homesongs was one of my top albums of ‘04, and remains as one of my favorites to this day.

His sophomore album, Love And Other Planets, will be released here in North America on September 26, once again via Domino. Although we have to wait a bit longer to get our hands on the domestic version of the record, New York fans will be treated to a special, one off performance next Monday at Joe’s Pub. He was brilliant when he performed at Town Hall with Badly Drawn Boy, but an intimate night at Joe’s should be even more amazing. Adem doesn’t make it over to the US very often, so mark this one down on your calendar. To get a sample of his new album, watch the video for “Launch Yourself” by clicking on the links below.
