Download – New Tracks From Summer Hymns


We are big fans of just about everything that is released on the Ausin-based label Misra Records. With a roster including Shearwater and Centro-Matic, they consistently release albums that are mighty awesome. Although it is still several months away, we are already getting a look at an upcoming new album from the Athens, GA band Summer Hymns. Their fourth LP, Backward Masks, will hit stores on November 21 (obviously via Misra).

The album is being compared to J. Mascis jamming with Galaxie 500, which definitely sounds good to me. To help get a little early excitement for this new record, the label is already offering up two free MP3s for download. This should help tide us over until November. Check it:
