Thom Yorke Live Session On XFM

Our chances to hear Thom Yorke perform any of his solo material live are pretty slim, so we have to take what we can get. By now you have most likely checked out his two-song set taped for the Henry Rollins Show. Yorke also performed a couple of songs for the kick-ass London radio station XFM on August 21. The first is “Analyse,” which is nothing more that Yorke along with his Fender Rhodes. Brilliant! He added a simple looping hand clap track to give “Skip Divided” a rhythm track. Although that is a pretty interesting selection to perform, it sounds damn good stripped down to nothing more than his vocals, keyboards and the beat.

The session also included an interview conducted by John Kennedy, addressing topics ranging from the future of Radiohead to his views on world politics. Interviews with Yorke are pretty few and far between, so this is a must listen for fans.
