Dangerbird Records Is All Smiles With New Signings

One of The Tripwire’s favorite indie labels just got a little bigger. Dangerbird Records has officially added All Smiles (AKA: the ex-Grandaddy guitarist Jim Fairchild) and Dappled Cities to their roster. Both albums are supposed to hit shops shortly after the new year.

On the new signings, Jeff Castelaz, Dangerbird Records President said,
“We started this label to accomplish one simple goal: develop great artists,” says label president Jeff Castelaz. “With radio, video and press bubbling on all our current releases, and all of our bands on major tours this fall, we’re taking steps toward that goal. We’ve been hard at work signing new bands, and developing the artists we signed prior to 2006. Now we are in the midst of breaking those bands – which is a fancy way of saying we’re getting lucky in high repetition.”

Job well done Dangerbird, job well done indeed. If you would like to check out some of the Dangerbird bands this fall, take note that they will have a special night at this year’s CMJ Music Marathon on November 2 at Pianos. Also, Silversun Pickups, La Rocca, Darker My Love and Peter Walker are all on tour now. Go check them out in a city near you.
