Andrew Bird Hits The Road

Chicago’s favorite singer/songwriter/violinist, Andrew Bird, will follow up a busy summer of festival shows with a September West Coast tour. Kicking off on September 16 in Denver, the 11-date tour will be Bird’s first trip out West since 2005. The fact that the San Francisco date is already sold out will tell you that there’s just a bit of excitement in the air…

Bird will likely be previewing songs from his forthcoming album, Armchair Apocrypha, along the way. The album, which is the follow up to 2005’s critically acclaimed The Mysterious Production Of Eggs, is slated for release in Spring 2007 via Fat Possum.
