Concert.TV Signs Deal For Later With Jools Holland

With the loss of Top Of The Pops, a lot of great bands have lost an outlet for performing on television. At least there is still Jools Holland in the UK. Granted that hasn’t really mattered to Americans as much since the only time we can catch those clips is if we see them on YouTube or something like that.

However, all of that is a thing of the past now. Concert.TV has announced that they have signed an exclusive deal for Later With Jools Holland with Northstar Media for their Independent Video On Demand (VOD) broadband series. Soon people on this side of the pond will be able to see performances from bands like Beck, The Arctic Monkies, Sigur Ros, Cat Power and more. The online site claims that they are the only digital network dedicated to live music performances and documentaries.

Pat McDonald, Co-President of Northstar Media, stated, “As a network devoted to live performances, CONCERT.TV is the perfect home for Later with Jools Holland. To my knowledge, this is the first time that a VOD network has licensed a catalogue in its entirety and by doing so the company is truly showcasing its commitment to the future of VOD.”

The shows start in October and each month will showcase a new batch of programs from Later With Jools Holland. The best part is we don’t have to worry about setting up our Tivos.
