Sirius Broadcasts Final CBGB’s Show

Well, the day is finally dawning upon us. CBGB’s last show will be October 15 and Patti Smith will be performing. Unfortunately for a lot of fans, tickets sold out in 8 minutes. Don’t worry if you can’t make it out to the show, as Sirius Satellite Radio has announced that they are going to broadcast the whole performance on channel 24, Sirius Disorder, starting at 9pm EST.

On a side note, the only entertaining thing that happened on this last week’s Saturday Night Live was a sketch that “featured” Patti Smith and Lou Reed prancing about in front of CBGBs talking about the club and New York City back in the day. Their timing couldn’t have been better. Unfortunately, we can’t seem to locate a clip of it online, but our bets are on that it will be up there before the week’s end.

RIP CBGBs.
