PJ Harvey To Begin Work On New Album

After last month’s news of the upcoming release of PJ Harvey’s Peel Sessions, we have been keeping an eye on her official website. A recent news post has alerted us that she is entering the studio soon to begin work on her next album. She will get things started in November, working with collaborators Flood and John Parish.

The post also states that the new material marks a new direction for Polly. It says: “As mentioned by Polly during recent appearances, the new material has been written mainly to piano, a brand new departure for Polly. We’ll keep you posted on any updates as and when we get them.”

It looks like Polly has gone all Tori Amos on us. With her awesome voice, this should be a very interesting album. Although no release information is available yet, hopefully we will get to hear the tunes sometime in ‘07. Stay tuned.
